FREE FILM from Kodak!

Posted 16 October, 2006 in Random

Kodak are giving away a roll of each of their updated Portra emulsions: 160 VC, 160 NC, 400 VC and 400 NC [details in a previous post] to the first 20,000 people to ask for it! Your choice of 120 or 35mm. Unfortunately, this is only available to people in the US.

Go get some!

Thanks to Katie Cooke for the heads-up!

Sweet. That’s my favorite kind of film. (free.)

Wow, thanks for the heads up! I haven’t used Kodak recently except for their TMAX, but maybe this will convince me to give their other stuff a second shot. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up!

Has anybody received their free film yet? I signed up about a month ago, but nothing yet. Did I miss seeing a “promised-by” date?

Nicolai

I haven’t, but IIRC the form said 6-8 weeks?

Bruce

Ah - okay - I didn’t see that bit but it sounds perfectly reasonable. Thanks.

Nicolai

[Ass-kicking photographer] Becky Pendel says that hers just arrived along with "a mail-in rebate of $25 when you buy $125 or more and any Kodak Professional Portra films with form provided", so hopefully we should all start getting our packages!

Stormy

Arrived yesterday! 4 rolls, 2 each of 120 and 35mm, one of each ISO: 400 and 160. Cool mailing tube - it’ll make a nice pinhole camera.

Nicolai

Hah! They probably didn’t realize they sent a free camera along as well!

Tom Willcox

Got my film, and my girlfriend got hers too, we both asked for 35mm and got 120, useless for us, except a 1950 kodak 620 camera she has, which does not quite take the 120 cartridge.

Yep, sures did then and used all 4 that same weekend. Good stuff indeed. I wished I ran some through my Yashica though…I may do that with a box of 5 I purchased recently for $25. Spensive…

Ass kicking? Haha.

Nicolai

Mine finally just arrived today.
