{"id":21,"date":"2006-01-12T16:30:41","date_gmt":"2006-01-12T21:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/photondetector.com\/blog\/?p=21"},"modified":"2006-02-27T15:33:48","modified_gmt":"2006-02-27T20:33:48","slug":"nikon-discontinue-film-kit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/photondetector.com\/blog\/2006\/01\/12\/nikon-discontinue-film-kit\/","title":{"rendered":"Nikon discontinue manufacture of most film equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nikon.co.uk\/press_room\/releases\/show.aspx?rid=201\">this press release from Nikon UK<\/a>, Nikon are discontinuing production of most film equipment, including their range of large format lenses.<\/p>\n<p>The flagship pro SLR F6 and the manual SLR FM10 stay, as well as the following manual lenses:<\/p>\n<p>Nikkor 20mm f\/2.8<br \/>\nNikkor 24mm f\/2.8<br \/>\nNikkor 28mm f\/2.8<br \/>\nNikkor 35mm f\/1.4<br \/>\nNikkor 50mm f\/1.2<br \/>\nNikkor 50mm f\/1.4<br \/>\nMicro-Nikkor 55mm f\/2.8<br \/>\nMicro-Nikkor 105mm f\/2.8<br \/>\nPC Micro-Nikkor 85mm f\/2.8D<\/p>\n<p>Everything else is gone in favor of digital.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder if Zeiss knew about this as they appear to be launching a range of Nikon F-mount lenses (see <a href=\"http:\/\/photondetector.com\/blog\/?p=10\">previous post<\/a>).
