I don’t see how this method works past shot #2. After the first shot the film is traveling from ‘normal’ to ‘spot’, okay – slightly less than one full frame of advance – no problem. But then you’re going from ‘spot’ to ‘spot’ and that will be one full frame. Or am I missing something?
Or now that I think about it, “normal” to “spot” is slightly MORE than one frame of advance (I assume matches up with the special mask), but then afterwards you’d still be going from “spot” to “spot” – which is back to regular amounts of advancement.
