Thanks for your patience over the last few weeks while I visited Texas and California. I stayed with friends (including five Boston Terriers, two mutts, and one Boxer, yay awesome dogs!!) and did some of the stuff you’re supposed to do in Texas, like shoot handguns and eat meat. Then I rented a car, took pictures like crazy on California’s pants-shittingly amazing Pacific Coast Highway, and went back to San Francisco, where I got to shoot and visit with some of my photo heroes. I liked it so much that I’m already in the process of moving there, so please bear with me just a little longer… there’s lots more tutorial videos in the works, so stay tuned!
congrats on moving to CA. Hope to meet you sometime – I am in sf as well.
Hey Nicolai,
That’s a pretty big deal to pick up and move to a new city, good for you. I lack the guts to try that although I already live in San Francisco which is one of the cooler bergs to be from and so the motivation to leave isn’t there. What are your plans once you’re here, do you have a job or is it a new locale and inspiration you seek (perhaps a gallery rep has found you)? This place is endlessly inspiring, there’s no end to subjects from the gritty dive bar scene to diverse architecture, ethnic neighborhoods and the beautiful and geographically close outlying countryside. You’re making a good choice.
I’m making a big push this year to squeeze into the gallery scene, I hope you find that too, your work deserves it more than anyone’s.
Good luck to you,
Steven
